I went to Burk's Falls to do some chores for the afternoon and arrived back at home around 4:30 p.m. The phone rang with a long distance ring and when I answered a woman said, "Hello, my name is Janet and I am calling you from Freeport, Grand Bahama Island." My first thought was that I was about to get bothered and annoyed by someone trying to sell me timeshare in the Bahamas so I answered, "Yes." with little to no enthusiasm. She then went on to say that she had heard we were looking for a place to rent from January through March and she had a two bedroom townhouse with a newly renovated state of the art kitchen, two and a half baths, right on the canal, washer and dryer upstairs, large patios up and downstairs and oh my goodness, we weren't thinking along these lines. A friend went and took lots of pics the next day and we were sold!!!
The next morning as I walked to the kitchen I noticed that all of the Florida info was gone. I guess Ray had decided by then where he wanted to spend the winter!!!
This shot is taken from the front door looking through the downstairs. Kitchen to the left. Then dining room followed by living room. As you can see the canal is right there and I hear fishing is really good so we will be taking our rods.
This shot is taken from the upstairs patio. Straight ahead is the canal, a few trees and then Xanadu Beach. It is one of those lovely white sand beaches.
We leave Canada on Friday, January 6th and return Monday, March 26th. As always, I will blog ever Monday and I can't imagine what I will have to write about but then I always feel like that and then all kinds of things happen!!!!
